Getting the Answers
Do you need to know if the stain belongs to your partner or another person? Is the DNA in the stain male or female DNA? Could there be mixed DNA profiles- in other words, DNA belonging to more than one person? Is the DNA in the stain human DNA?
GTL can provide you with answers to these questions through DNA infidelity testing. Once conclusive results are obtained, the laboratory can also run powerful DNA comparative analyses to identify the DNA source if you provide another DNA sample with which a comparison can be made. The DNA testing offered is accurate, reliable, and strictly confidential.
Infidelity Testing Options: Suspect Cheating?
Multiple gender test: You have found a stained garment or any other type of sample which you suspect to be human bodily fluid (sometimes called bio fluids or body fluids); one type of test we can offer is a multiple gender test. With this service, you can find out if the stain is really human biological fluid and whether it contains any DNA; if the laboratory confirms the presence of DNA, we can tell you if DNA in the stain belongs to a male or a female. With this test, the DNA of more than 1 person can be detected if present in the sample.
Comparison testing: The best way to work out who the sample you found belongs to is to compare it to another DNA sample. In this way, we can tell you with absolute, scientific certainty whether the two samples belong to the same person or to different people. You may want to, for example, send in a sample of your DNA which we will then compare to the suspicious sample you found to confirm whether or not the sample found belongs to you or to somebody else.

What Samples do you have?
Infidelity testing can be carried out with many different samples. Contact us once you have something in hand. Genetic Technologies Limited offers you a free evaluation; we will tell you everything you need to know which includes:
- Is my sample suitable for testing?
- How do I collect it and store it?
- How do I ship it to your laboratories?
Based upon the information you give us, we will be able to give you more information.
The samples that our clients sent in are many. Each sample is however, different since there are factors which could affect the validity of the sample and consequently, the also affect chances of successfully extracting the genetic markers from it. Two of the most important factors which can affect the samples are:
- How old is the sample?
- Has it come into contact with any chemicals (such as those found in detergents and other cleaning agents)
Luckily with infidelity DNA testing all the laboratory needs is a few genetic markers to provide you with an accurate result. This means that results are in most cases successful even with old and degraded samples.
